Landscapes Of Prekmurje
Landscapes of Prekmurje is a contemporary sound art and music project that explores the sound landscape of the Prekmurje region, where Allja grew up.
The project asks how a place can be experienced through sound and how personal memory, landscape, and cultural identity are reflected in the acoustic environment.
The work combines field recordings of nature, regional dialect poetry by Prekmurje writers, original music, and vocal performance, creating a layered sound composition rooted in place.
The live performances were enriched by musicians Kristijan Krajnčan (cello, percussion) and Rok Zalokar (piano, electronics).
Through sound, spoken word, and musical interpretation, the project offers an artistic reflection on belonging, origin, and the relationship between humans and their environment.
Sound is explored as a medium for inner balance, inviting listeners to reconnect with their own sensations, embodied awareness, and the natural rhythms that often fade beneath the pace of everyday life.
